The average price of red eggs was 4.92 yuan/jin, and the average price of pink eggs was 5.04 yuan/jin, a price difference of 0.12 yuan/jin.

The egg market today showed a high-level correction, with prices generally falling across various regions. This adjustment mainly stemmed from the previous sustained rise in egg prices, leading to resistance from high-priced supplies in the terminal market. Additionally, the demand for stockpiling for the Dragon Boat Festival has come to an end, resulting in more cautious downstream purchasing and a slowdown in overall sales. However, total inventory at all stages remains at a relatively low level, and the decline was small.

From the supply side, the supply gap is being slowly filled. The dual pressures of new laying hens and delayed culling are accumulating, especially around the fourth quarter, as newly laying hens will gradually release their production capacity. From the demand side, the off-season is gradually approaching. Although low inventory levels provide some support for egg prices, the lack of new consumption drivers has established a short-term weak demand pattern.

In summary, egg prices are likely to enter a period of high-level fluctuations with a gradual downward shift in the center of gravity.

On June 15th, the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) egg futures main contract 2607 opened at 4642, reached a high of 4713, a low of 4630, and settled at 4665, up 27/0.58%, with a trading volume of 663,419 lots and open interest of 380,040 lots.

Egg Index Analysis

According to data from Lenglianduoduo, the domestic egg spot price index on June 15th was 5.004, down 0.129 from the previous working day, a decrease of 2.513%.
